Tomb for family Lukšić Rendić / Design: arhitekta Srđan Lukšić
- We proudly present a grave in Supetar, crafted from white Brač stone, an outstanding example of stonemasonry and innovative design. The project was created by architect Srđan Lukšić, who received the prestigious Tripun Bokandić Award for this work. This grave is not only a monument but also a piece that unites technical complexity with strong symbolism. The dominant element of the grave is the cross, executed in a completely unique way. It is designed to look as if the stone surface itself has opened, with the empty space forming the shape of the cross. This detail carries a profound spiritual message, underlining the deep symbolism of faith and eternity. Another striking feature is the vase, carved from a single block of stone. The stone was carefully shaped and naturally cracked, adding a special aesthetic quality to the monument. Such an execution required the highest precision and expertise of master stonemasons. The grave stands out with its clean lines and minimalist approach, rarely seen in traditional works. The combination of modern aesthetics and traditional Brač stone gives this headstone a distinctive identity and lasting value.
