Tomb for the Mladen Bajić Family

- this tomb for the Mladen Bajić family stands out for its simplicity, refinement, and commanding presence within the cemetery. Made of white Brač stone, it immediately attracts attention through its perfect balance between classical proportions and a contemporary sense of form. Although only the base has been completed so far, without the headstone, the tomb already conveys a sense of monumentality. Clean lines and harmonious transitions give it an air of calm dignity, while the fine classical profiles reference traditional craftsmanship, reinterpreted through a modern minimalist language. The central tombstone with the engraved family name Bajić adds a striking visual element. The crisp, clear lettering communicates strength and permanence, reinforcing the sense of timeless elegance that defines the entire composition. This modernly designed tomb impresses with its solid, monolithic form, which rises from the ground with quiet authority. Each surface is meticulously shaped – edges are sharply defined, and curves are gently softened – creating a visual rhythm of balance and purity. Despite its simplicity, the tomb exudes richness in detail. The Jakšić stonemasonry workshop achieved a refined interplay of precision, craftsmanship, and aesthetics. The result is a work that radiates serenity and respect, honouring both the material and those it commemorates. The tomb of the Mladen Bajić family is part of a group of three neighbouring tombs, forming a unified architectural composition while maintaining individual identity and expression.
