The Jakšić Stonecarving Workshop proudly presents its latest project on the international stage – a refined and contemporary tomb crafted in France. This project is yet another confirmation of the recognised quality, expertise, and trust that our workshop has built over decades in the field of tomb construction, gravestone design, and stone craftsmanship.
The tomb is made from high-quality white Brač stone, a material long regarded as one of the most valued in the Mediterranean region. With its minimalist lines, elegant proportions, and flawless execution, the tomb radiates serenity, dignity, and permanence – essential values in the creation of every memorial monument.
The design is based on clearly defined geometry, featuring a gently rising headstone element that emerges smoothly from the base, creating a harmonious visual rhythm. This modern approach to tomb design highlights the purity of form, precision of stone finishing, and elevated aesthetic expression characteristic of the Jakšić Workshop.
The entire process – from concept, sketches, and design to fabrication and installation in France – was carried out by our workshop. Such international projects reaffirm that the knowledge, experience, and heritage of our long-standing craft can be successfully transferred beyond Croatia and professionally executed across European cemeteries.
This tomb stands as a further example of how the tradition of stone carving can be combined with contemporary design, resulting in lasting and unique memorials that reflect respect, elegance, and the personal wishes of the client.
The completed tomb in France is yet another proof that the Jakšić Stonecarving Workshop rightfully ranks among the leading creators in tomb design and construction, and that the quality of Brač stone and our artisanal craftsmanship are recognised well beyond the island of Brač.
