A New Design Collaboration: Stjepko Rošin and the “Deblok” Stone Furniture Collection

We proudly present a new collaboration between the Jakšić workshop and renowned Split designer Stjepko Rošin, whose innovative approach to space has long been recognised in architecture, interior design and product design. Known for his clean lines, strong sense of material and ability to transform traditional elements into contemporary forms, Rošin created the concept Deblok, a furniture collection in which stone plays a central role.

The Deblok concept consists of several thoughtfully designed furniture elements exploring the relationship between stone, wood, glass and colour. In selected pieces, Rošin incorporated the painterly expression of our artist Dina Jakšić, whose abstract compositions add a new dimension to the collection and emphasise its uniqueness.

Among the highlights are two variations of stone tables — one oval, the other round — featuring sculptural stone bases supporting elegant glass tops, demonstrating how a stone table can function as both a practical object and a work of art.

The standout piece is the modular stone shelf, designed so that the stone element forms the stable centre, while wooden components move freely, allowing numerous configurations and creating entirely new compositions and functions. The shelf transforms depending on the needs of the space, telling a new visual story each time.

The collection also includes additional stone furniture elements, all handcrafted in our workshop with a focus on detail, craftsmanship and contemporary stone design. The combination of natural stone texture and thoughtful design makes these pieces ideal for modern interiors seeking authenticity.

Several pieces from the Deblok collection will be showcased at this year’s Marmomacc Stone Fair in Verona, one of the world’s most important events dedicated to stone and design. This collaboration between the Jakšić workshop and Stjepko Rošin thus represents an important contribution to the international development of stone design.
