Stone for Interior Design of a Private Penthouse in Vienna / Architect Franz Kiener
- in the heart of Vienna, atop a historic building, lies a luxurious penthouse that seamlessly combines tradition with contemporary design. Conceived by renowned Viennese architect Franz Kiener, this residence redefines elegance through the use of Brač stone in interior design. All stone details were designed and crafted by our workshop, led by Dražen Jakšić, using Avorio stone – a refined variety of white Brač stone, distinguished by its warm beige tone and silky surface texture. Every element of this interior was meticulously planned. The stone floor adds a sense of stability and calm, while natural light reflects gently across its polished surface, enhancing the feeling of spaciousness. Selected walls are clad in Avorio stone, creating a subtle interplay of light and texture. A special feature of this project are the stone washbasins, sculpted from a single block of stone. Crafted without visible joints, their clean lines and minimalist form embody precision and craftsmanship at the highest level. This approach, though technically demanding, guarantees durability and premium quality. The stone fireplace serves as the centrepiece of the living area, combining warmth with architectural purity. The bathrooms and relaxation zones feature stone-clad bathtubs, stone seating elements, and bespoke details that blend function with refined luxury. The result is a space defined by modern sophistication and timeless natural beauty. This luxurious stone interior demonstrates how Brač stone in interior design can transform an atmosphere entirely. The Avorio stone brings a delicate balance between contemporary minimalism and Mediterranean authenticity. The combination of Viennese architectural precision and Dalmatian stonemasonry mastery has created a residence where luxury is not displayed, but deeply felt.
