Grooved Stone Facade for Three Villas in Sutivan / Architect Vinko Peračić

- three modern villas forming a unified architectural whole represent an outstanding example of modern architecture with stone and masterful craftsmanship. Designed by acclaimed Croatian architect Vinko Peračić, this project showcases the full potential of Brač stone through precise execution by our workshop, led by Dražen Jakšić. The facades of the villas are made from white Brač stone, featuring our signature “grooved stone facade” – a distinctive surface treatment where the stone is shaped into rhythmic horizontal grooves, creating refined texture and a play of light and shadow. Each line is executed with exceptional precision, forming a subtle relief that gives the facade its dynamic and elegant character. The perfectly aligned stone joints ensure a continuous flow of lines, while the corners of the villasare seamlessly connected without visible transitions. Window openings are finished without traditional stone frames, maintaining clean, contemporary lines that complement the minimalist aesthetic. This project received the first “Tripun Bokanić Award” for the best architectural achievement in stone in 2019, confirming its exceptional quality and artistic value. Beyond the facades, our workshop executed all stone floors, stone staircases, outdoor stone fireplace, and the complete stone interior design. The interiors radiate calm and sophistication – Brač stone in interior design brings warmth and brightness, while carefully selected stone claddings and stone details highlight the purity of form and material. In this project, stone for villas and houses is not just a building material but a key aesthetic element that connects the exterior and interior. The result is a harmonious balance of luxury stone interiors and modern architecture – a refined dialogue between Mediterranean tradition and contemporary design excellence.
